DG ATI interacts with NCS & NSS Officer trainees

The Administrative Training Institute (ATI) Kohima conducted a training on “Office Procedure & Management” with Faculty from Institute of Secretariat Training and Management, DoPT, Government of India, New Delhi, for nine Nagaland Civil Service officers and 18 Nagaland Secretariat Service officers. The Resource person for the training was Jitender Bhatti, Deputy Director, ISTM. The training started on August 19 and concluded on August 21.

In the interactive sessions held on August 21, the Director General (DG) of ATI, V Shashank Shekhar, IAS, appreciated the participants for their good academic background and that they have come through NPSC, a prestigious competitive exam in the state.

The DG suggested that they should use the knowledge and their experience and work for the common people. Director General also stated that, while listing of problems can be done by anyone, what is important is that they should suggest solutions.

During the interactive session, the officer trainees gave various suggestions. Some suggestions proposed by the officer trainees included exploring the possibility of providing crèche facility for the administrative officers with children; strengthening the grassroot administrative structure; need to strengthen coordination between administration and various line departments; use of internet-based technology for enhancing transparency and efficiency in governance.

The interactive session was also attended by Er N Moa Longkumer, Joint Director, Imlibenla Jamir, Deputy Director and the course coordinator of the training, Kaholi Sema, Joint Director.
