The Kewhimiapfü Mechü Krotho (KMK) has expressed shock at the news of a sex racket being busted in Kohima by the police on September 6.
Terming it “most shocking and greatly disturbing” to know that such an abhorrent underworld which was considered alien to Naga culture now existed in the heart of the state capital, the KMK in a press release asserted that it is viewed as an impending doom for the society unless vigorously checked to the core.

Alarmed by the increasing antisocial elements in the society, KMK further implored and demanded that law enforcing authorities award severe punishments to the perpetrators so as to safeguard younger generations from falling victims to such “nefarious underworlds”.
The organization lauded the police department for its persistent fight against evil elements in the society and appealed for support and concerted effort of all concerned “to heal our beloved land”.
