Phesama Students’ Union and Chedema Village Youth Organisation (CVYO) have registered wins on the sixth day of the ongoing 25th edition of the NSF Martyrs’ Memorial Trophy on Friday.
Playing the first match of the day, Phesama SU won a tough fight against opponent Corinthians FC 3-2 to stay ahead on the league tables of the tournament. A goal each from Neisaleto Kipu and Theja Chuse and an own goal from Corinthians FC ensured a hard fought victory for Phesama SU. Corinthians FC’s Thejaneilhou Mere and Thejajangutuo Pfüsenuo scored one goal each but luck did not favour them as they had to go down with an own goal.
Phesama’s Theja Chuse was adjudged the Player of the Match. Steering Committee secretary Neizokhotuo Belho presented the award to Chuse.

In the second match of the day, Chedema VYO and Kidima Farmers United displayed a competitive spirit as both teams struggled to find the net while defending their respective D-boxes. Just as the match seemed to be going an all out draw, Lunminlal of Chedema converted a clinical brace within a span of three minutes- in the 82nd and 85th minutes of the match to clinch a win.
Manglienboi Neihsial CVYO won the Player of the Match which was awarded by Asano Zashu, Anchor Committee member.
