An executive meeting of the new team of National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) Kohima unit was held on September 20 at the Congress Bhavan, Kohima.
Addressing the members, NSUI Kohima president Seyievikho Linyü welcomed the newly elected office bearers for 2026-27 and encouraged them to be dedicated in their duty. He urged them to uphold the party’s ideology and rise to the occasion to serve students, highlighting the organization’s aims and objectives.
He emphasized on empowering students, focusing on their welfare, and promoting co-curricular activities such as cultural events, debates, and sports to utilize their talents. Linyü also stressed the importance of harnessing the youth’s capabilities while preserving the image of the student community.

The meeting re-constituted the team of office bearers for 2026-27. Notably, Linyü, who has been serving as the president of NSUI Kohima since 2021, was re-elected to the same post along with several newly elected members. Active members and representatives from different assembly constituencies attended the meeting.
The program was chaired by NSUI Kohima general secretary Sedevinuo Yhome. Earlier in the programme, an invocation prayer was pronounced by Shejeang Chetnyu, joint secretary of NSUI Kohima, while Kevileto Vimero proposed the vote of thanks.
