St Peter’s Parish, Kiphire, for the first time organized a Mass Wedding Renewal Vow programme on the theme “Live Your Best Life in Love”, bringing together 132 participants in a day-long celebration of faith, love, and togetherness. The initiative, spearheaded by Parish Priest Rev Fr Philip Magh, aimed to strengthen the sanctity of family life. In his introduction, Rev Fr Philip emphasized that “family is the first essential cell of human society” and underscored the importance of nurturing family life with care and commitment.

He reflected that married life in today’s world can be challenging, but with the right mindset and strategies, couples can build a strong and lasting relationship. He exhorted couples to keep focus on communication, compromise, and understanding which needs practicing open and honest communication, and showing appreciation for each other.

Living a married life as a sacrament in the light of God involves recognizing the sacred bond between two people and nurturing it with love, care, and commitment, he said adding this can be achieved through regular prayer, attending church services together, and seeking guidance from spiritual leaders. He further said to live a contented married life needs effort, dedication, and a willingness to grow and learn together.

The day-long programme combined faith and fellowship with fun-filled activities such as couples’ party games, singing, and dancing. A fellowship meal was served in the afternoon, fostering a spirit of unity and joy among participants.

In the evening, Rev Fr Philip, along with Sr Lucy SABS and Sr Caroline SABS, led a brief adoration service, followed by the solemn renewal of marriage vows. As a symbol of love and devotion, each couple exchanged a blessed rosary.

The memorable celebration concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Parish Secretary, Thomas, marking a historic and spiritually enriching occasion for St. Peter’s Parish and the participating families.
