The Right to information week 2025 was observed at town hall, Tseminyu on October 10. The program was chaired by Deputy Commissioner Tseminyu, Japheth Woch, who also proposed the welcomed address to the gathering participants. Expressing his gratitude for observing the RTI week in Tseminyu, the DC said it is the first of its kind to organised such program in the district, and thanked the commission for observing the RTI week 2025 in the district.
In his keynote address, the Chief Information Commissioner, Kevisa Kense, IAS (Rtd) said that 5th October is observed as RTI week annually and shared the main objective of Right to Information Act 2005 to the gathering. He informed that the commission is to protect the people and redressed their grievances, while the government departments are to provide information as required by the applicant within the time frame given in the RTI Act.

He also appealed to the government departments not to harass the people seeking information under RTI Act. He also appeal and requested the NGOs not to misuse RTI, and the department with misleading information.
State Information Commissioner, Nosazol Charles gave detailed PowerPoint presentation on RTI and interacted with the participants. The program was attended by Students, government officials, VCC, VDB and NGOs. State Information Commissioner, T. Kekongchim Yimkiung concluded with a vote of thanks.
