Three Under-Trial Prisoners (UTPs) today escaped from District Jail, Mokokchung at around 3.36 a.m.  They have been identified as Sukam Ali (20), S/o Ibad Ali, Village-Kharbari, District-Wokha, PS-Ralan; Roshida Ali (26), S/o Ibad Ali, Village-Kharbari, District-Wokha, PS-Ralan; and Habibullah Islam (21), S/o Mohamed Fakhruddin, Village-Gorukuti, District-Wokha PS-Ralan.

According to Superintendent of Jail, the accused were admitted to District Jail on August 21 last from Wokha.

An FIR has been lodged at Mokokchung Police Station-I in this regard and hunt for the escaped prisoners is on.
