Nadda inaugurates State BJP office in Kohima

Kohima: In a virtual address, Nadda said the party office is not merely an office but a centre of culture for the party workers

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National President JP Nadda virtually inaugurated the Nagaland BJP office on Monday evening at Upper Agri Colony, Kohima in the presence of Union Minister of Ports, Shipping & Waterways and Ayush Sarbananda Sonowal, BJP National Joint Secretary (Org) Shiv Prakash, BJP Coordinator (NE) Sambit Patra, BJP State President and Minister Temjen Imna Along and other BJP officials.

Nadda also launched the BJP membership drive of Nagaland.

In a virtual address, Nadda congratulated the state BJP leaders and party workers and stated that it was Prime Minister Narendra Modi who had set the vision that the party should have its own well-organised office in every district and in every state headquarters across the country.

He said the Nagaland BJP office is the 237th office to be inaugurated by him, while 153 more offices at state and district levels were under construction.

Nadda said the party office is not merely an office but a centre of culture for the party workers.

He stated that BJP is a political party that does not only focus on politics, but also on serving the people, social service, health, education, climate change and others.

He also said, while other political parties were family centric, BJP is a big family and the party believes in inclusiveness.

Nadda while launching the membership drive praised the BJP State President Temjen Imna Along and his entire team for the unique initiative of conducting the membership drive with just a missed call to the number 8298296060.

He requested the people of Nagaland to join hands with the BJP for peace, security, unity, progress and prosperity in the state.

Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal accused the Congress for totally neglecting the Northeast for the last 60 years.

He said the Prime Minister in the last year eight years have created provisions in all sectors for the upliftment of the Northeast and added that now the entire Northeast is progressing along with the rest of the country.

“I am confident that all the members of BJP of Nagaland if you put all possible efforts and try to take everyone along of the people of Nagaland then definitely whatever destination we have targeted to achieve that can be achieved comfortably,” stated Sonowal.

BJP National Joint Secretary (Org) Shiv Prakash in his brief address congratulated the Nagaland BJP. The party workers will have to take care of the office just like we take care of our home, protect and beautify it, he stated.

With the establishment of the new party office, he said the BJP Nagaland will expand and the extension of the Party in Nagaland will now happen.

He asserted that planning, execution and monitoring will take place from this office and when these three happens, BJP will become a strong party at the booth level, mandal level, a winning party at the constituency level and a party that will form the government at the state level.

“If BJP is strong and expands and forms government in Nagaland, then there will development, tribal development women empowerment, security and respect/honour will be guaranteed,” said Prakash.

While other parties develop themselves, BJP develops the nation; Other parties makes people fight, BJP Unites; Other parties encourages terrorism, BJP gives strength and peace, he stated.

He also said under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, the country has gained respect around the world and many infrastructural initiatives have been undertaken in the Northeast.
