Robert Longchari appeals to Air India Express to hire more Naga youths

Commissioner & Secretary, Transport Department, Robert Longchari accompanied by M Ababe Ezung, OSD Transport, paid a visit to the Air India Express office in Gurugram, Haryana on November 4. They held a productive meeting with Alok Singh, Managing Director, and Shashi Chetia, Vice President.

During the meeting, the Nagaland officials expressed their gratitude to Air India Express for continuing flight operations to Dimapur, highlighting the importance of air connectivity for the state’s growth and development. They also appreciated Air India Express’s acceptance to partner with the state for the Hornbill Festival, a significant cultural event that promotes tourism and showcases Nagaland’s rich heritage.

The officials requested Air India Express to consider hiring more Naga youths in various job openings, further strengthening the partnership between the state and the airline. Additionally, they discussed potential opportunities for collaboration in areas such as tourism promotion and creating jobs.

The meeting concluded on a positive note, with both parties expressing their commitment to working together for the mutual benefit of the state and the airline.
