North Zone continued their exceptional run in the Senior Women’s Inter Zonal T20 Trophy with a resounding 126-run victory over North East Zone at the Nagaland Cricket Stadium, Sovima on November 12. A stellar batting display followed by a disciplined bowling performance ensured a one-sided affair in favor of the North Zone side, informed a match update issue by KAKI.
North Zone – Innings: 204/2 in 20.0 overs
After winning the toss and electing to bat, North Zone’s top order showcased remarkable form to post a mammoth total of 204/2.
S M Singh starred with the bat, playing a magnificent 87 off 58 balls*, while Ayushi Soni provided explosive support with an unbeaten 69 off 39 balls. Earlier, T Sarkar’s brisk 40 (32) set the perfect platform for the innings.
Despite a tough outing, D D Dutta was the standout bowler for North East Zone, finishing with 2/23 in 4 overs.


North East Zone – Innings: 75 in 17.2 overs
In reply, North East Zone struggled to build momentum against North Zone’s relentless bowling attack and were bowled out for 75 runs.
Najmeen Khatun top-scored with 17 off 17 balls, but wickets fell regularly as the North Zone bowlers maintained tight control throughout the innings.
Nazma was exceptional with the ball, claiming 4/9 in 3 overs, while Amandeep Kaur (3/10 in 2.2) and Soni Yadav (2/6 in 3.0) dismantled the batting lineup with precision and accuracy.
