The celebration of Child Rights Week 2025 was organised by District Child Protection Unit (DCPU) Mission Vatsalya, Department of Social Welfare, Tuensang. A children’s sports day for child care institutions was held on November 15 with Kohdi Children Home and Bethel Children Home at Sao Chang College ground.
A.Yanthriba Sangtam of DCPU Tuensang spoke during the event, emphasizing on the holistic development of children.

Sangtam stated that education and sports should go hand in hand for holistic development as sports enhance cognitive functions, build crucial life skills such as discipline and teamwork, and promote physical and mental well-being. He encouraged all the children to activately participate in the sports activities with a focus on personal development.

Earlier in the program, God’s blessings was invoked by R.Throngji Yimchunger, Superintendent of Bethel Children Home. The event witnessed various games to entertain the children including tug of war, water games, spoon race, penalty shootout and blink game volleyball.
