In a special field visit on November 18, the PM Shri Yangphi Government High School delegation toured the Jan Shikshan Sansthan (JSS) Skill Training Centre in Kiphire.
The visit, part of the school’s outreach programme, saw Tsadiba Sangtam, Director of JSS Kiphire, brief the students on the institute’s mission and the transformative power of skill development.
“Skills are the bridges that turn aspirations into realities,” Sangtam said, emphasizing how vocational training equips youth with the confidence to shape their futures.
Assistant Programme Officer, Maria Sangtam then demonstrated the workings of an industrial sewing machine, guiding the pupils through hands on practice.
The field trip underscored the government’s focus on empowering the younger generation through skill training, a pathway that not only enhances employability but also fosters self reliance and community growth.
