The Department of Art & Culture is all set for the Hornbill Festival 2025 with the Theme: “Cultural Connect”. The following activities shall be taken up by the Department from December 1 to 10.
Daily Cultural Performances (A Cultural Extravaganza) at the main arena. Eighteen Cultural Troupes from within State will be arriving soon to showcase their lively folk dances & songs, indigenous games, demonstration of rituals and folk dramas etc. in their colourful traditional attires.
The Artists’ Corner/Art Fair at the World War-II Museum Premises, Kisama. Activities include Art Show, Transaction of Art, Artist Talk/Presentation, Art Pavilion Exhibition, Art Market & Artisan Boots, Art Demonstrations, Interactive Workshops, Art Installation, Art Battles and Cultural Art Show.

The Archives Branch will organize an Archival Exhibition Title “First 50 years of British Administration in Naga Hills”. Departmental publications based on research documentation, Monographs of historians, Dictionaries of some local communities, Naga Customary Practices and Usages, Archaeological Publications etc. will be available for book lovers in the Exhibition Hall at World War-II Complex.
A must visit place to see, understand and experience the historic event is the World War – II Museum, Kisama, where war relics and artefacts are on display. The Museum will be opened to the public from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The State Museum, Kohima, would be opened to all the public on all working days from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
