NU release of 3rd volume of ‘The Communicator’

The third volume of The Communicator, a newspaper published by the Department of Journalism & Mass Communication, Nagaland University (NU), Lumami was released on November 24. Chaired by PG student Amekali Chishi, the welcome address was delivered by Petekhrienuo Kulnu, a research scholar from the department. Talikaba Ao, research scholar at the department, delivered a message on behalf of the editorial team. Dr Arjun Das, HoD in-charge felicitated the esteem guest Prof MK Sinha VC Incharge & senior professor from the Department of Economics, Nagaland University.

The release of The Communicator Volume 3 by esteemed guests was followed by a speech from Prof MK Sinha and Prof Sangyu Yaden, Senior Professor from the Department of Geography, Nagaland University.
Prof Sinha encouraged the department to share and spread The Communicator to other North Eastern Universities and colleges for more exposure.

He also stated that The Communicator plays as a bridge between the alumni, faculty, staff, and students by spreading the news about the events of the university. He motivated the students to write articles and publish, and attract the masses.

Prof Yaden congratulated the department for releasing the third volume of The Communicator. He suggested proposal for more faculty positions and focus on the infrastructure of the department. The vote of thanks was delivered by Easter T Sangtam, also a research scholar from the department.
