The NSCN (IM) today informed that Lt Gen Honreishang Shadang-MSM, MC has taken over as new Longvibu of Naga Army following the retirement of General Ningkham Shimray from military service after 45 years in the army.
According to a press statement issued by Naga Army’s publicity and information bureau, Naga Army today bid farewell to General Ningkham Shimray-MC, VC who was shouldering the responsibility of Commander-in-Chief, also known as Longvibu for the past 8 years. He was accorded a grand military guard of honour as he walked past the red carpet upon his retirement.

The ceremony of handing and taking charge was presided over by Keya Kilonser, Zeneituo James Pienyu, in presence of dignitaries and army officers at GHQ Church.
Pastor Diginbou invoked God’s blessings and pronounced the prayer of submission for both the outgoing and incoming Longvibu.
