In view of the ‘Night Carnival ’ organized by the Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) in coordination with the District Administration and Dimapur Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) as an extension of the Hornbill Festival along the stretch from Holy Cross Point to City Tower from December 6 to 10, the
Dimapur police has issued traffic arrangements/restrictions for effective management of the event and public safety:
Road Closure: Entry of vehicles from either side of Holy Cross Junction and City Tower Junction would be restricted from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. daily with effect from December 6 to 10. Vehicles would not be allowed parking at the stretch beyond 4 p.m. during the period, and any vehicle found parked in the areas meant for setting up of Night Carnival stalls would be towed or clamped and penalised.
All feeder roads located at the stretch would be barricaded and closed for vehicular traffic during the Night Carnival period.

Parking:
(a) Road side parking of vehicles may be used at available parking spaces without causing obstruction to free flow of traffic.
(b) Permission has been granted to the Youth Department of Town Baptist Church, Nyamo Lotha Road to temporarily run Paid Parking facility at Christian Higher Secondary School premises by the school authorities, with effect from December 6 to 23 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. From December 6 to 10, the paid parking facility would be relaxed till 11 p.m. for the Night Carnival visitors.
(c) Limited Parking for Officials/ organizers and vehicles with designated car passes would be allowed in Holy Cross Hr. Sec. School parking lot.
These are temporary restrictions, which would be enforced from 4 p.m. till 11 p.m. daily from December 6 to 10, 2025.
