IRCS Noklak branch carries out Winter Outreach tour at Kingniu village

Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), Noklak branch carried out it’s Day 1 Winter Care Outreach to Kingniu village which drives about 30  kilometres away from it’s district, Noklak. The Red Cross team informed that the Winter Outreach aims to provide blankets to BPL families, Senior citizens, and persons with disabilities. A total number of 25 elders were provided the blankets and other basic kits. For Kingniu village, it is the first of it’s kind to receive such act of kindness from the society.

Pukhio GB, Kingniu village, the day embarks a great blessing for the older persons of Kingniu village. He acknowledged the IRCS, Noklak branch team for their presence with the village, noting that Kingniu, despite being a small village is thought of.

Honorary Secretary, IRCS, Noklak district Branch, S Lasang Khiamniungan highlighted briefly about the IRCS  and it’s functions in the district level.  He called for unity in offering support to those in need especially in a cold season of winter, adding that IRCS Noklak will continue its effort to serve humanity.

The winter care outreach will continue till December 10.
