The Hornbill Esports Championship Season 2 concluded on December 9 at the IG Stadium here. The two-day national event, a flagship feature of the Hornbill Festival 2025, was organised by the Department of Youth Resources and Sports, Government of Nagaland, in collaboration with the Esports Association of Nagaland (ESAN).

Special Guest and Economic Advisor for the North Eastern Region, Sherry Lalthangzo, spoke on the transformative potential of Esports. “There was a time we believed games could not build a future, but today we must acknowledge that possibility exists in everything,” she stated. Emphasizing balance, she advised, “Pursue your dreams, but not at the expense of your health, education, or family. Life itself is a challenging game, and success requires commitment, belief, and clear priorities.”

ESAN President, Thejavituo Sekhose, presented a vote of thanks and detailed the championship’s scale, highlighting a total prize pool of ₹10,00,000 across five major titles.
