Seyochung village witnesses cultural programme

Seyochung village witnessed a successful cultural programme today as part of the 64 UBA Seyochung Village Students’ Union Triennial Session, powered by Eduversity. The programme was held at Seyochung, with T Chorise Anar attending as the Cultural Guest.

In his keynote address, Thsioli, Executive Chairman of Seyochung Village Students’ Union, thanked the Cultural Guest and all well-wishers for accepting the Union’s invitation. He said that their presence showed their care for the Union and for the rich culture of the village.

Daniel Sechopi, President of Seyochung Village Union, Kiphire, addressed the students and said that trust must be earned through actions. He added that if one feels sorry for their mistakes, they should also be willing to change their behaviour.

Speaking on the occasion, T Thinglise, Vice President of the United Sangtam Students’ Conference, encouraged the students to give priority to self-confidence and to develop the right attitude in life.

Cultural Guest, T Chorise Anar called upon the gathering to keep tradition alive. He said the community should not depend on others to preserve their culture. He stressed that traditional agriculture, crafts, and handcrafts must continue. On behalf of the Zithsingkyü lineage, he also announced the construction of a watch tower in the village.

Meanwhile, Longtili C Sangtam, President of Seyochung Village Students’ Union, informed that at least 171 students received free NPSC study materials from the Eduversity stall at Seyochung Village. He expressed gratitude to the Village Council, Church, Suro Pümji, Seyochung Village Union Kiphire, Seyochung Village Union Kohima, Seyochung Village Union Seyochung Town, and Seyochung Village Union Dimapur for their support and contributions in different ways.
