KSU initiative through the years:

The recent years have witnessed the Khiamniungan Students’ Union standing firm at critical moments of social, political, and developmental concern affecting the community. The mass public rally held on April 3, 2025 at ITC Dan against the scrapping of the Free Movement Regime (FMR) and the proposed fencing of the Indo-Myanmar border was a defining expression of collective voice. Organized in collaboration with the Khiamniungan Tribal Council and the Naga People’s Front, the movement reaffirmed the people’s resolve to protect historical ties, traditional mobility, and shared identity across borders.

Beyond protests, sustained engagement through memoranda and representations reflected the Union’s commitment to constructive dialogue and long-term development.

Equally significant were the Khiamniungan–Lainong Brotherhood Meets held in India and Myanmar, which reaffirmed shared ancestry, cultural bonds, and mutual responsibility. These gatherings served as reminders that progress is not only measured by policy outcomes, but by unity, remembrance of roots, and the collective will to stand for one another.
