An advocacy program on sexual harassment of women at workplace prevention, prohibition and redressal Act, 2013 was successfully organized by the District Hub for Empowerment of Women (DHEW) in collaboration with the Yimkhiung Women Organisation was held on January 14 at Government Higher Secondary School, Shamator town.
The programme aimed to create awareness among participants about the provisions of the Act, focusing on prevention of sexual harassment, the rights of women at the workplace and the mechanisms available for redressal of grievances.

The event highlighted the importance of maintaining a safe, respectful and inclusive working environment and explained the roles and responsibilities of employers and institutions under the Act.
Participants were actively engaged in the session and discussions were held to clarify doubts related to reporting procedures and support systems available to aggrieved women. The programme concluded with an interactive session, reinforcing the need for awareness and collective responsibility to ensure dignity and safety of women at workplace.
