The 27 AC Mokokchung Town NPF Youth Wing today organiZed a cleanliness drive across five wards of Mokokchung Town under its constituency which aimed at promoting cleanliness, civic responsibility and environmental awareness.
The drive began in the morning from Salangtem Ward, followed by Kichutip Ward, Mongsenbai, and Kumlong area. It later covered the Imsongmeren Sports Complex area in Kumlong before concluding at Aongza Ward.
A substantial number of party members took part in the drive. The youths of the party also actively participated irrespective of their respective wards. The organisers stated that the initiative reflected unity and collective responsibility towards maintaining clean surroundings within the constituency.
Temsüwati Pongen, General Secretary of the 27 AC Mokokchung NPF Youth Wing, informed that the cleanliness drive was organised by the Youth Wing and was sponsored by Metsübo Jamir, Minister for Rural Development (RD) and State Institute of Rural Development (SIRD), Government of Nagaland.

He expressed gratitude to the youths from all the respective wards who actively participated in the drive. During the initiative, the volunteers undertook extensive cleaning of drainage systems, footpaths, and several road stretches, besides collecting and disposing of garbage from various locations.
The cleanliness drive was organised with the theme “Clean spaces, green minds, stronger future, join hands and be a part of the change.” The Youth Wing highlighted that such initiatives are essential to develop a sense of responsibility towards environmental protection and community well-being.
