In view of the reported outbreak of fire in Southern Dzükou valley, the Deputy Commissioner of Kohima  B. Henok Buchem has deployed a team for rescue operation to contain the further spread of the fire.

In an order issued on January 27, the DC informed that the team will be led by Vineikho Tetso, SDO(Civil), Jakhama, (Ph NO. 8974514789) comprising of the following members:

1. SDPO (South).
2. District Commandant, Home Guards.
3. Range Forest Officer, Forest Department.
4. Nodal Officer, DDMA Kohima.
5. OC, Fire and Emergency Services.
6. Representatives from the SAYO.

The team has been directed to report to the site of the fire incident and take stock of the situation. “All available resources shall be mobilized to contain the further spread of the fire. The team is directed to report to the undersigned on a regular basis for further course of action,” stated the order.
