Additional Deputy Commissioner, Sanis has issued a public notice restricting the movement of heavy commercial vehicles on the Sanis–Lakhuti road from January 30 to February 6, in view of ongoing repair works under PMGSY-II being carried out by the PWD (R&B) Baghty Division.

According to the order, continuous plying of heavy traffic has been affecting the durability of the newly repaired road surface, making it necessary to regulate vehicular movement during this period. The Sub-Divisional Officer, PWD (R&B) Sanis stated that the restriction is essential to ensure the quality and longevity of the repair works.

While heavy vehicles are completely restricted, light motor vehicles will be allowed to ply but are advised to slow down and exercise caution, while passing through the repaired stretches so that the ongoing works are not disrupted.

The District Administration has appealed to the public for cooperation and emphasized that the regulation is issued in the interest of public safety and for the smooth completion of the repair works.
