It is another year that David Ngullie is going to spend Father’s Day without his dad. Reminiscing the gone days, he speaks of his father as an extraordinary father anyone would love to have. David proudly states, “The strongest and the best father – he is my Father, my Hero.”

His father, late Rev R Lotha or Rhyutsemo Ngullie, was one of the longest serving Pastors among the Lotha people, having had served as the pastor of Tsungiki Baptist Church under Wokha district for 56 years. David says his father served “God faithfully and fruitfully in his own birth place from 1964 February till 2020 March.”

He mentions that his father had endured a lot of hardship but never showed them. “I believe he must had spent days with empty stomach because it was never easy to raise ten children, sending all of us to private schools and providing all the needs with the little salary he received from the church where he served as a pastor,” David remarks with gratitude for his father.

“While going through all the troubled times, he never lost his faith rather we saw him kneeling down in prayers with our mother, and that is one particular reason we saw tons of miracles in our lives. He is the strongest person I have come across and that is where I drew all my inspiration,” the son affirms.

However hard it is for David to spend the second Father’s Day without the special person in his life, he prays and says he will dearly remember and cherish all the good memories they made together.

“My beloved Daddy, I really miss you. Happy Father’s Day to you in heaven!” wishes the loving son.

Late Reverend R. Lotha breathed his last on 1 March 2022.
