The All Commercial Vehicle Association (ACVA) of Wokha District held a formal handing and taking over ceremony for its newly elected office bearers at the association’s office in Wokha on May 31. The event marked the official transition of leadership for the upcoming tenure of 2025-2030.
The newly appointed team, which will lead the association for the next five years, is headed by President Yanithung Lotha, General Secretary Lipenthung Ovung, and Finance Secretary T Renbemo Kikon. The outgoing leadership smoothly handed over their responsibilities in a ceremonial manner, symbolising the commencement of a new chapter for the association.
In his farewell address, the outgoing President, C Renbi Ngullie, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the members for their unwavering support throughout his tenure. He acknowledged the cooperation of his colleagues and sub-units, which ensured the success of his leadership term.
Ngullie also highlighted key resolutions passed during his tenure, including the crucial decision on the “One Government, One Tax” policy, which was officially endorsed by the association. He urged the members to remain vigilant and issue-focused, emphasising the importance of maintaining an issue-based approach within the association. Ngullie further asked for forgiveness for any unintentional mistakes made during his term and wished the incoming team all the best as they assumed their new roles.
Renben Ngullie, Vice President of the incoming team, spoke on behalf of the new leadership, acknowledging the contributions of the outgoing team and expressing a desire for continued guidance and support from them in the coming years.

General Secretary Lipenthung Ovung extended his sincere thanks to the outgoing team for their dedication and tireless efforts in guiding the association forward. He also outlined some of the new policies and initiatives that the incoming leadership plans to implement to further improve the association’s standing and welfare. Ovung called on the members to lend their cooperation and support as the new team embarks on its leadership journey.
The financial report for the 11th Foundation Day celebrations, held earlier in 2025, was presented by the new Finance Secretary, T Renbemo Kikon. The report provided a detailed overview of the event’s financial management and expenditures, ensuring transparency and accountability to all members.
The ceremony concluded with a special dedicatory prayer led by Mhao Ngullie, Deacon of the Wokha Town Baptist Church, for both the outgoing and incoming leadership teams.
In his final remarks, the outgoing President, C Renbi Ngullie, expressed his gratitude once again for the support he received during his tenure. He called for continued cooperation and unity among all members of the association as they move forward into this new phase of leadership.
