The Additional Deputy Commissioner, Pungro has informed that there shall be a mass social work at Pungro Town, Kiphire on 5th June 2024 from 6:00 am onwards to commemorate World Environment Day with special focus on Plastic Waste Management targeting Single Use Plastic (SUP).

In this regard, the ADC has informed all ward GBs and chairmen to supervise respective wards and ensure positive participation of all residents. The Chamber of Commerce, Pungro shall supervise in the market areas, the ADC stated.

Further, all heads of offices/institutions at Pungro HQ have been directed to mobilise respective staff and conduct the social work in respective premises on the mentioned date.

The ADC has also requested the cooperation and active participation of residents of Pungro Town in the mass social work. EAC Pungro, Yithachu Thur, NCS, shall be the overall in-charge of the Mass Social Work.
