With the upcoming Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) Elections, the ADCs & ROs of various districts in the State has notified on the schedules and requirements on nomination for the election.
Wokha
The ADC & Returning Officer, Wokha Town Council (WTC), K. Furhesie Nyuwi, has informed that ULB election for Wokha town is to be held for a member from Ward No.1 to Ward No.15. Nomination papers may be delivered by the candidate or his proposer to the Returning Officer, Wokha Town Council at the office chamber of the ADC, Wokha between 11Am and 3Pm on any working day from 7th June 2024 but not later than 11th June 2024.
Forms of nomination papers may be obtained at the place and times aforesaid, the nomination papers will be taken up for scrutiny on 14th June 2024 at 11Am onwards in the office chamber of the ADC.
Notice of withdrawal of candidature may be delivered by a candidate or his proposer or his election agent (who has been authorised in writing by the candidate to deliver it) to the office specified in paragraph (2) above at his/her office before 3PM on or before the 18th June 2024. In the event of the election being contested the poll will be taken on 26th June between the hour of 7:30 AM and 4:00 PM. Ward No- 1, 4, 7, & 10 were reserved for women.
Jalukie
The Additional Deputy Commissioner & Returning Officer, Jalukie Town Council, T L. Kiusumong Tikhir, has notified for nomination to the election of Jalukie Town Council.
An election Is to be held for a member to Ward No. 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 & 9 of the Jalukie Town Council with Ward No. 1, 4 & 7 reserved for women.
Nomination papers may be delivered by the Candidate or his proposer to ADC & Returning Officer, Kiusumong Tikhir or to EAC & Assistant Returning Officer, Sizin Renttah at the Office of the ADC, Jalukie between 11:00 A.M. and 3:00 P.M. on any day (other than public holiday) from 7th June 2024 (Friday) but not later than 3:00 P.M. of 11th June 2024 (Tuesday).
Forms of nomination papers may be obtained at the place and time aforesaid.
The nomination papers will be taken up for scrutiny on 13th June 2024 (Thursday) at the Office of the RO & ADC, Jalukie, from 11:00 A.M. onwards.

The Additional Deputy Commissioner & Returning Officer, Peren Town Council, Japheth Woch has given the following notice for nomination to the election of Peren Town Council:
An election is to be held for members to Ward No. 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 & 9 of the Peren Town Council with Ward No. 1, 4 & 7 reserved for women.
Nomination papers may be delivered by the Candidate or his proposer to the Returning Officer, Japheth Woch, NCS or to ARO, Kelevituo Nisa, NCS at ADC Office, Peren between 11:00 A.M. and 3:00 P.M. on any day (other than public holiday) from 7th June 2024 (Friday) but not later than 11th June 2024 (Tuesday).

The Addl. Deputy Commissioner (ADC) & RO from Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Mokokchung, Chumlamo Humtsoe NCS has issued notice for nominations to the Mokokchung Municipal Council (MMC) for the District of Mokokchung. The notice states that:
The election is to be held for a member to Ward no. 2,3,5,6,8,9,11,12,14,15,17 and 18 of the Mokokchung Town Municipality with Ward No. 1,4,7,10,13 and 16 reserved for women.

In view of the ensuing Urban Local Bodies (ULB) polls, ADC and RO, Tizit Town Council, Tizit, Zhoi Lohe, has notified that period for filing nominations will be from 7th – 11th of June 2024 (upto 3:00 pm). List of validly presented nomination papers on 12th of June 2024, scrutiny of validly presented nomination papers on 13th of June 2024, list of validly nominated candidates on 14th of June 2024, filing of revision application and disposal on 15th of June 2024, last date of withdrawal of candidature on 18th of June 2024 upto 3:00 pm, list of contesting candidates and list of polling stations on 18th of June 2024 after 3:00 pm, date of poll 26th of June 2024 between 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, date of re-poll, if any on 28th of June 2024 and counting and declaration of results on 29th of June 2024 from 8:00 am onwards.
Bhandari
Additional Deputy Commissioner & Returning Officer, Bhandari for Town Council Election, Longdiba L. Sangtam has notified that an election is to be held for a Member to Ward No. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 of the Bhandari Town Council, with Ward No. 1, 4 and 7 reserved for women.
The notification stated that nomination papers may be delivered by the candidate or by a proposer to the ADC & RO Bhandari, or to EAC & Assistant Returning Officer (ARO) Wetsho Lasushe at the ADC office, Bhandari between 11AM and 3PM on any day
(other than Public holiday) from 7th of June (Friday) 2024 but not later than 11th of June (Tuesday) 2024.
The notification further stated that scrutiny of nomination papers will be taken up on 13th of June (Thursday) 2024 at the Office of the Additional Deputy Commissioner.
