In continuation of the Home Department: Home Branch Notification No. HOME/ILP-36/01/2024/200, dated June 18, 2025, Deputy Commissioner, Dimapur, Tinojongshi Chang has issued additional guidelines for the issuance of Inner Line Permits (ILP) under Dimapur district. The updated provisions are aimed at facilitating smoother processing and administration of ILPs for various categories of applicants. The guidelines are as follows:
- The ID Card of the concerned employee is enough for the family and dependents of the Central/State Government employee in lieu of ILP.
- Heads of Public or Private Companies duly registered can stand as guarantor for their regular employees.
- To allow for employer certification to act as guarantor provided that the employer certification should be supported by landlord/house owner.
- Transit passenger may be exempted from producing ILP.
- For Dimapur district, under floating population, offline ILP for daily wage labourers shall be issued from with immediate effect subject to guarantor by the landlord/house owner/companies/firms.
These measures are intended to streamline the ILP issuance process while ensuring proper documentation and accountability, particularly for residents and workers within Dimapur district.
