Tuensang District demonstrates its commitment to promoting gender equality and raising awareness of gender imbalances through the introduction of a pioneering initiative – the installation of a Guddi-Gudda Board at the District Hospital. According to DIPR, this collaborative effort, orchestrated in partnership with the District Administration and the District Hub for Empowerment of Women (DHEW), strives to address gender disparities and foster greater public consciousness.

The initiative, driven by BBBP Tuensang, reaches a significant milestone with the installation of the Guddi-Gudda Board. This innovation, unveiled on August 28, 2023, will offer real-time updates on the number of male and female newborns delivered at the District Hospital. This dynamic display serves as a visual representation of the community’s ongoing commitment to achieving equilibrium in the Sex Ratio at Birth (SRB).
