The Nagaland State Bharat Scouts and Guides inducted Advisor for Youth Resources and Sports, S Keoshu Yimkhiung and other officials on Wednesday at the NSBSG State Headquarters in Bayavü Hill, Kohima. The Advisor was inducted as the 13th President of NSBSG Nagaland.
In his speech, Keoshu Yimkhiung gave ‘glory to God’ for the opportunity to serve as President of NSBSG Nagaland. He acknowledged the founder Lord Baden Powell for the sacrifices he had made and for spreading the Scouts and Guides movement to 216 countries and territories across the world.
He said that NSBSG has become a centre of young and energetic volunteers to serve our society in particular and nation in general. The Advisor lauded the officials for mobilizing 4000 active members at present in the State. He also said that scouting helps youth development, academic, life skills, self confidence, leadership skill and citizen skill that also influence the adults’ life.
Further, Keoshu appealed the gathering to together push the association to the highest level in all activities, adding that every success is the outcome of team work.
The programme was chaired by vice president, NSBSG, Wezope Kenye, IAS while state secretary, NSBSG, Er Thepfuzakie Suohu gave keynote address.
Vote of thanks is delivered by State Commissioner(G), Nino Iralu.
Warrants for State commissioner (Bulbul) Chubanungla, State Commissioner (Cub), Om Prakash Gupta and State Commissioner (Rover) Kuoliebeizo Mepfhü-o were presented by the new President of NSBSG.
The induction ceremony was administered by SOC(S) John Tochimong and SOC(G) Vimezhonu.
