Nagaland’s Advisor for CAWD and Taxes, Kudecho Khamo on Thursday inaugurated the Additional Deputy Commissioner’s Office Complex at Akuluto Town in the presence of Advisor Kazheto Kinimi.
Addressing the inaugural programme, Khamo appreciated the dynamic leadership of Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio for his people-centric and visionary endeavours, under which many developments are taking place in various parts of the state.
He also commended the leadership of Advisor Kazheto Kinimi for the many developments taking place in the area under his vision for Akuluto sub-division, despite the State government’s meagre funds. He hailed Kinimi as a man of few words but an action-oriented leader who is seasoned and mature, working with a visionary approach for the Naga society.
He also appreciated the Akuluto public for electing a leader from a constituency that has produced a Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister, and other prominent leaders.
He appreciated contractor Toika Kinimi, Proprietor of M/s Start Agency, and the officials of CAWD led by Assistant Chief Engineer (ACE) Sungtiba Amer for working in cohesion for the successful completion of the project. He expressed hope that the building would serve the best interests of the people and contribute to growth and development. He also acknowledged the landowners for their cooperation during the construction of the new ADC Office Complex at Akuluto Town.
Khamo stated that it is high time for the Nagas to unite and called for collective efforts to maintain peace and tranquility to ensure development, adding that peace is essential for the progress of the state.
Highlighting that India as a nation is resolute in achieving Viksit Bharat—meaning “Develop India”—by 2047, Khamo stated that Nagaland is also working in that direction. He emphasized the need to develop Akuluto, Zunheboto, and Nagaland as a whole, beginning at the level of each family and individual, requiring collective and participatory efforts to work with the government.
Reiterating his initiative for the Chozuba Assembly Constituency—One Family, One Project; One Family, One Entrepreneur; and One Family, One Prayer—he urged the 17 villages and two towns under the Akuluto Constituency to join the movement for “One Village, One Crop,” which the government is promoting to realise the full economic potential and growth of the region through the Agri and Allied strengths of the people.
To achieve this, he stressed the need for government officials, public leaders, and Church leaders to spread the message and disseminate the initiative to the grassroots.
Pointing out that the Chakhesang–Sumi brotherhood is not based on any human reasoning but is divinely ordained, Khamo emphasized the need for the younger generation to strengthen this bond and uphold its spirit to move forward.
Furthermore, the Advisor noted that there are many government buildings under construction, which may not be possible to complete all at once, but assured that the government will take them up at all levels in a phase-wise manner.
Additionally, Khamo urged the public to treat the newly inaugurated office building as public property and called for collective responsibility to care for and safeguard the facility.
Guest of Honour for the occasion, Advisor for Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services, Kazheto Kinimi, in his speech, acknowledged MLA and Advisor Kudecho Khamo for inaugurating the newly constructed ADC Office Complex at Akuluto.
He appreciated the department for its constant support in providing necessary funding, which transformed this long-awaited aspiration into reality. He also commended the contractor for executing the work with exceptional diligence and timely completion.
