Advisor Khamo inaugurates the new classrooms at GHS Japan Riba Chozuba

Advisor for CAWD and Taxes, Kudecho Khamo on Tuesday inaugurated the additional classrooms constructed under Samagra Shiksha Nagaland at GHS Japan Riba Chozuba.

Addressing the inaugural function, Advisor Khamo expressed concern about the land ownership and encroachment of lands in the state which has become a stumbling block for developmental activities and asked the people  not to misuse the Article 371 (A) but use it for other political rights which provides constitutional guarantees.

Urging the landowners throughout the state to rethink of the past when land were given or sold for developmental activities with understanding, Khamo maintained, “When the present generation takes back or encroaches it is legally illegal, morally unethical, traditionally a curse and thin forbidden”. The Advisor also stressed on the need to be careful for the welfare of posterity.

“ Development is one the greatest desire of humans as it eases people and acts as a driver for a progressive society,” viewed the Advisor acknowledged that the state under the dynamic leadership of Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio is focused on the overall development of the state.

He also expressed intolerance against proxy teachers and stated that it should not be allowed under Chozuba Assembly constituency while he urged the Village councils and Village Education Committees (VECs) not to allow proxy teachers and further advised them to inform him to take up with the government.

“Teaching school has become a serious business. It is not meant for part time teachers but meant for full time who are willing to build up and nurture young minds and students,” asserted Khamo.

Meanwhile, the Advisor also placed on record his appreciation to the school fraternity headed by Assistant Headmaster (AHM), Vekhozo and the public, village leaders and church Leadership of five villages for supporting the school through community contribution towards the development of the school by way of constructing the chapel which is nearing completion and the community hostel that is coming up.

The Advisor encouraged the students to dream big with strong determination and become a personality that helps the people and work for the welfare of the people at large. The need to fear God and lead a prayerful life was also emphasized.

The school building construction report was delivered by Kuduve Keyho, Class 1 Contractor.

The programme was led by Vekhozo, AHM who also delivered the welcome address, where he informed that GHS Japan Riba Chozuba has five feeding villages namely Chozuba Village, Runguzu Village, Runguzu Nasa Village, Khusomi Village and Chozu Basa Village and informed that the School Chapel Hall shall be constructed by the Churches and Community Hostel by Village Councils and VDBs.

A short speech was delivered by Veto Keyho, Coordinator EBRC Chozuba while students of GHS Japan Riba Chozuba made special presentations and Kuthosu Tsutso, Teacher (Voc.). The inaugural prayer was offered by Rev Vesavo Shijoh, Pastor Chozuba Village Baptist Church, vote of thanks proposed by Vinoto Achumi, GT (Sci) and benediction prayer was pronounced by Nuvotso Luruo, Pastor Runguzu Baptist Church.
