Advisor Rio urges departments in Chümoukedima to freely participate in discussions

Chümoukedima: The DPDB Board approved the recognition of Shikato village under Dhansiripar Sub-division

District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting was held on Wednesday at DC’s Conference Hall, Chümoukedima under the chairmanship of Advisor, Urban Development and Municipal Affairs, Zhaleo Rio.

DIPR informed that Rio, addressing the meeting, encouraged all the respective departments to freely participate in the discussion and deliberate so that other departments will also know about their respective departments. He reminded the officers that working under the State Government in Chümoukedima district is a big responsibility and with a purpose, for which they need to accommodate in their works and be a source of blessings and channel to the public.

He mentioned that since Chümoukedima had being adopted as ‘Land of Opportunity,’ every department should develop work culture with the opportunities that the departments had in their programmes and activities, and as the Chairman, he look forward to the support and cooperation from all the departments in serving the people, he added.

During the meeting, the Board reviewed the last meeting agenda of recognition of Shikato village under Dhansiripar Sub-division which was approved by the Board after authentication and verification. Other agenda deliberated at the meeting were approval of recognition of Jehovah Jereh School, Vidima.

Grant-in-Aid for Highland Hall Higher Secondary School, Naga United Village will be taken up after the DEO submit the report and will be deliberated in the next meeting. Registration of society for Serendip Guardians, 7th Mile Model Village will also be taken up in the next DPDB meeting.

Nodal officer for Disaster Management, Chümoukedima also gave a short presentation on monsoon forecast, Department from PWD (R&B), Health & Family Welfare and PHE also delivered short reviews on monsoon preparedness.
