H Sethrongkyu Sangtam, Advisor for IT & Communication Economics & Statistics and Evaluation, Government of Nagaland called on Rajeev Chandrasekhar, Union Minister of State for Entrepreneurship, Skill Development, Electronics & Technology during his first official trip to New Delhi.
A statement informed that in the meeting, Sangtam and Chandrasekhar talked about the IT sector in Nagaland that is making a positive but yet marginal impact on both urban and rural areas, fostering technological sustainability by leveraging all available state resources in a way. The union minister assured support and encouraged all the efforts to enhance the Information Technology landscape in Nagaland.
It also stated that through strategic investments, infrastructure development, and skill-building initiatives, the IT sector will empower the state’s residents, driving economic growth, and creating new employment opportunities. This collaborative approach will ensure effective and holistic development of Information Technology in Nagaland, that will benefit all segments of society.
Besides Chandrasekhar, the Advisor also met with John Barla, Union Minister of State for Minority Affairs during his visit to the country’s capital.
Sangtam was accompanied by Er Sabou Yashu, Addl. Director of IT & Communication, GON along with Pintu M Ghose, State Spokesperson for BJP Nagaland.
