The DC in a press release stated that the NH-702 D road project, undertaken by NHIDCL (National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited) for special repairs since 2021, had left a major portion of the 63 Km. stretch unattended, leading to significant deterioration at various locations. The neglect had caused disruptions to the transportation of essential commodities to districts like Mokokchung, Tuensang, Zunheboto, Noklak, and Shamator, the Phoji added.
He further informed that the E.E. NH PWD Mokokchung Division had initiated repair works on the stretch of NH-702 D that serves as the primary lifeline for these districts, even though it has not been handed over by NHIDCL to PWD NH Mokokchung Division. The Advisor, appreciating and commending the proactive efforts of the NH PWD Mokokchung Division for initiating the restorative repair works on their own, thereby made the donation.
