Advisor for Transport and Technical Education, Govt. of Nagaland, Temjenmenba,Pongen visited NH702D on 15 July 2023 to inspect the deteriorated road condition and the ongoing work progress on this road.

According to DIPR, during his visit, the Advisor expressed concern about the deplorable condition of NH702D, as it serves as the lifeline connectivity for the districts of Mokokchung, Zunheboto, Tuensang, and adjoining districts. He emphasised that his visit aimed to highlight these grievances to higher authorities for early action.

Furthermore, Temjenmenba suggested that the District Administration seek assurance from neighbouring villages for their assistance in finding a way forward for the welfare of the people. To ensure the smooth flow of essential commodities, the Advisor maintained that restrictions on heavy-duty vehicles should be strictly enforced until the condition of NH702D becomes temporarily motorable.

The Advisor was accompanied by DC Mokokchung,Thsievisie Phoji, Administrative Officers from PWD (NH), and council members from neighbouring villages.
