Aghunaqa Area Youth Front commends Niuland Police for swift action in pastor assault case

Niuland: AAYF reminds that such illegal activities will not be tolerated in its jurisdiction

The Office of Aghunaqa Area Youth Front (AAYF) has expressed its gratitude to the Niuland Police for their swift and efficient response to the recent incident where the Pastor of Pastor of Yanpha Baptist Church was assaulted by a cadre of NSCN-K (Khango) at Naukhuti Town (Toku town), Aghunaqa Area, Niuland District on 24th August 2024.

“The prompt action taken by your officers has not only ensured the safety of the victim and citizens but has also sent a strong message that such acts of violence will not be tolerated”, Kahovi Jakha, President, and Yeka Awomi, General Secretary, stated in a press release.

The Youth Front also commended the GB’s and Village Council of Kiyezu ‘B’ Village of the perpetrators for their cooperation in this matter. “Their willingness to assist the authorities has been instrumental in bringing the victim to justice,” it added.

Further, the AAYF reminded all law-abiding citizens that such illegal activities will not be tolerated in its jurisdiction and affirmed its commitment to maintaining a peaceful and harmonious environment for all residents.
