The local contractors of Package V, Kohima-Jessami under M/s Stroyproekt LLC-OLA JV, has suspended its strike/blockade of roads till 4 May 2023 (Thursday), it notified.

The agitating group stated that the company had appealed the group put the strike on hold since ‘the matter is sub-judice and it is posted for hearing on 2nd May 2023 in the Gauhati High Court – Kohima Bench’. Stroyproekt LLC-OLA JV had also ‘hinted of high-level discussions with government and authorities for resolution’ to solve its problem, the local contractors informed.

The agitating group has therefore temporarily suspended the blockade ‘because of the faith in the High court, the Government of Nagaland and India’. It further stated that the strike/blockade would be resumed if the resolution is not in its favour.

The local contractors are protesting over the pending bills following the termination of Stroyproekt LLC-OLA JV by National Highways & Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd.
