The Kohima Village Youth Organisation (KVYO), in collaboration with the Kohima District Rifle Association (KDRA), is organising an Air Rifle Shooting Coaching Camp taking place at the Tsütuonuomia Indoor Stadium, Kohima Village. The event, hosted by Tsütuonuomia Youth Organisation (TYO), commenced on March 17 and will conclude on March 22, 2025, the KVYO informed in a press release.

The organisers stated that the “initiative aims to elevate the skills of aspiring shooters from Kohima Village and provide them with the necessary training to compete at higher levels.”

The coaching camp is led by Merang Jamir, an esteemed International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) Coach, along with his dedicated team from the Aries Shooting Academy, Dimapur.

KVYO also stated that a total of 30 talented shooters, comprising 15 boys and 15 girls, have been selected to participate in this intensive coaching program. The camp will focus on developing fundamental shooting techniques, enhancing precision, and fostering a competitive spirit among the young athletes.
