The Office of the Ao Students’ Conference (AKM) has condemned the ongoing illegal taxation and death threats issued by NSCN/GPRN (Khango) to a contractor and extended its solidarity with the Angami Youth Organisation amid the tension between AYO and the Naga political group.

In its press release, the AKM has urged every organisation and right thinking individuals in the state “to unite in rejecting these unlawful demands and to support efforts aimed at fostering peace, stability, and economic growth in the region.”

Empathizing with the Proprietor of KKB Rülho, AKM reaffirmed its commitment to upholding the principles of justice, security, and the rule of law. It said that threats to life and safety posed by these group is completely unacceptable and further called upon the law enforcement agencies to prioritize the protection of all citizens and to ensure that those responsible for these threats are brought to justice.

AKM reiterated that no taxation will be allowed under Mokokchung district and no developmental activities should be disrupted by any individuals or groups.
