Against the backdrop of the government’s failure to address the shortage of doctors at the Dr. Imkongliba Memorial District Hospital (IMDH), the Ao Kaketshir Mungdang (AKM) will be organizing a Public Rally at 8:00 a.m today, March 15, 2025 at Mokokchung Police Point.

“This extensive step is necessitated due to the Governments’ inability to answer to the demands put forward by the AKM regarding shortage of doctors at IMDH despite repeated Representations and Ultimatum,” stated the AKM in a circular.

The AKM has appealed to the public to kindly bear with the inconveniences that may arise due to this Rally and extend cooperation and support for this common cause.

Earlier on March 14, the Deputy Commissioner of Mokokchung convened a meeting with the Superintendent of Police, Mokokchung, HQ Administrative Officers, Chief Medical Officer, Mokokchung, Medical Superintendent, IMDH Mokokchung, Ao Senden, Watsu Mungdang and AKM.
