The 5th Inter-Ward Beat Contest cum Concert, organized by Temulunger Telok, took place under the theme “A Blast from the Past” on the evening of December 22 at the Town Hall in Mokokchung.

In a thrilling competition, Alempang Ward emerged as the Winner of the 5th Inter-Ward Beat Contest, while Sangtemla Ward secured the position of Runners-up. Cash prizes and certificates were awarded to the winners.

Standout Performers:

Best Vocalist: Abinah Jamir, representing Alempang, mesmerized the audience with powerful vocals.

Best Bassist: Bendangakum of Sungkomen showcased exceptional skill on the bass guitar.

Best Guitarist: Topeto Achumi from Majakong wowed the crowd with impressive guitar melodies.

Best Drummer: Imsongti of Alempang displayed rhythmic excellence on the drums.

Controller’s Most Promising Drummer: Talimerenla from Sangtemla earned recognition for her outstanding drumming skills.

The beat contest welcomed participants from all 18 wards of Mokokchung, witnessing intense competition during the auditions. Ultimately, six wards auditioned, with four earning their spot in the thrilling finale.

The event also featured performances by Tiameren Aier and Toshi, with the band enthralling the audience with their songs.
