A new branch of the Bank of Baroda was inaugurated at Ahthibung Town, Peren District on Friday by Deputy Commissioner Peren, Vineet Kumar, IAS in the presence of General Manager and Zonal Head Kolkata Zone, Debadrata Das, Network DGM, Kolkata Zone, Debashis Bakshi, Deputy General Manager & Regional Head Jorhat, Chandan Sahoo and Branch Manager Ahthibung Branch, Kaikho Savio.

Speaking at the event, DC Kumar declared that with the opening of this new branch, all the blocks of Peren District have become “Banked Blocks” and expressed hope that the services provided would benefit the common masses residing in Ahthibung Town and its adjoining villages.

He appreciated the Bank of Baroda for opening it’s new branch at Ahthibung Town which has been a long felt need of the people of the area. He said this was possible because of the special effort put forth by SDO (C) Ahthibung, KSON and Public leaders of Ahthibung area and for which he lauded them for the remarkable achievement.

Kumar while exhorting the bank staff also urged them to work with dedication and further called upon the people to extend full support to the employees for the smooth functioning of the branch.

Earlier, Pastor, Elvis Hangsing pronounced the dedicatory prayer of the Bank of Baroda branch.
