The High School Leaving Certificate Examination (HSLC) and Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSLC) Examination 2025 results by the Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) was announced today.
This year’s Top 1 achievers in both HSLC and HSSLC were bagged by female students with Lungyihangle Nring from St. Paul Hr. Sec. School, Dimapur topping the HSLC Examination with a 98.67 percent. In the HSSLC Examination, Vikhono Senotsu from GHSS, Jotsoma, Kohima topped the Arts stream with 96.20 percent, Arti Kumari from Ram Janaki Higher Secondary School, Dimapur topping the Commerce stream with 94.60 percent and Snigtha Mukherjee from St. John Higher Secondary Residential School with topping the Science stream with 93.40 percent.
In the HSLC Examination, 5,453 students from government schools enrolled for the Examination where 48.41 percent students qualified. 15,976 students from private schools enrolled with 87.64 percent qualifying for the same besides 884 students repeaters enrollment with 14.59 percent qualified. Altogether, 16771 students in Nagaland qualified with the overall qualified percentage for HSLC examination standing at 76.16 percent. 126 students made it to the Top 20 list in the HSLC examination.

In the HSSLC Examination, 12,404 students, 1,027 students, and 3,218 students enrolled for the Examination in Arts, Commerce and Science Stream respectively with a pass percentage of 84.05 percent, 81.40 percent, and 76.54 percent respectively.
The number of centres set up for the HSLC and HSSLC Examinations were 97 and 68.
