AMAM to organise 9th Auto & MotoX along with Northeast Championship Round 2026

The Adventure and Motorsports Association Mokokchung (AMAM) will organise the 9th Auto & MotoX along with the Northeast Championship Round 2026 at the

Imkongmeren Sports Complex, Mokokchung, from February 5 to 7.

Informing this in a press release, the association has invited the public to “buckle up for pure adrenaline” through a competition of speed, skill and precision driving.

The event is now a cornerstone of the Northeast motorsports calendar, where Mokokchung is serving as a hub of racing activity. With Autocross and MotoX categories, the competition will include drifting, fast manoeuvres, whoops and berm-bashing sections.

The organisers informed that the Autocross categories will include Open, Below 1300cc, and SUV. The Open category will allow unrestricted competition, while the Below 1300cc category will feature compact vehicles competing for supremacy. The SUV category will see vehicles with higher torque competing on dirt tracks.

The MotoX categories will comprise Beginner, aimed at new entrants, and Open, featuring experienced riders competing across demanding sections.

The event carries a total prize pool of ₹3.50 lakh, along with trophies and certificates. The organisers stated that this edition will also serve as a key round of the Northeast Championship 2026, and is expected to draw competitors from motor and moto clubs across Nagaland and neighbouring states.

According to the schedule, scrutiny and technical inspection of participants will be held on February 5 while the AutoX event will be flagged off on February 6 morning by

District Transport Officer Mon, Imkumwapang who will serve as the inaugural patron.

The MotoX event will be inaugurated on the same day in the afternoon by Longden Longkumer, Managing Director, LL Group Nagaland, as patron.

The competition will conclude on February 7 with the final runs followed by the prize distribution ceremony, which will be graced by Wangpang Konyak, Advisor, Social Welfare, as the special guest.

AMAM has invited the public, motorsports enthusiasts and families to witness the event live at the Imkongmeren Sports Complex. The organisers said the event will feature competitive racing across grassroots and championship levels.
