The eighth edition of the Mokokchung AutoX & Sprint 2025 organized by the Adventure And Motorsports Association (AMAM) will take place over two days on 17th and 18th January 2025 at Yimchula tourist village in Mokokchung.
Announcing this in a press release, AMAM informed that the event will showcase exhilarating races across three competitive categories: Open, Below 1300, and SUV. The event will feature the adrenaline-pumping AutoX races on a gravel and dirt track (Wet/Dry) at the Sungratsu Sports Complex, where racers will demonstrate their speed and skill. Further, the event promises to ramp up the excitement with Sprint races on a challenging pure tarmac track (Wet/Dry), pushing participants to their limits, the organizers stated.
Categories and Prize Money:
Open Category: ₹70,000 (1st place), ₹40,000 (2nd place), ₹30,000 (3rd place),
Below 1300 Category: ₹40,000 (1st place), ₹30,000 (2nd place), ₹20,000 (3rd place)
SUV Category: ₹40,000 (1st place), ₹30,000 (2nd place), ₹20,000 (3rd place)
Furthermore, the 8th Mokokchung AutoX & Sprint 2025 will feature, for the first time, the Open Motocross (Local), aimed to provide the local racing community a chance to showcase their talents.
AMAM stated that this edition is even more significant as it will serve as the second round for the North-East Championships 3.0 (2025), drawing top racers from across the region in a fierce battle for the championship title.
Inviting racing enthusiasts from across Nagaland and beyond to witness the event, AMAM President Moasashi Jamir and Convenor of 8th AMAM AutoX & Sprint 2025, Mar Imchen, stated that this year’s event is “more than a race; it’s a celebration of motorsport, camaraderie, and the relentless pursuit of excellence.”
