Christmas season in our Christian-majority state has always been a beautiful, luminous poetry. Every year from 1st December to 1st January, Nagaland Glowed with Christmas Stars—simple, radiant symbols welcoming the birth of Christ into our homes and hearts. Every household, every establishment, every locality carried this shared Beacon of Faith.
In recent years, dazzling modern decorations have taken center stage. Beautiful, but the Glorious Star, the very heart of our Christmas testimony, is dimming from our skyline and our collective memory. This tradition must not be allowed to fade.
This Christmas, let’s bring Christmas Stars back.
_Let Kohima shine with Meaning_, not just lights.
Let Nagaland glow with Faith, not just festivity.
Our collective call:
-We earnestly Appeal to every household to erect a Christmas Star from 1st December 2025 to 1st January 2026—to welcome Christ once more into our homes, our families, and our community life.

How we can make it happen:
- Colony Councils, Churches, and Authorities:
Strongly urge all members to put up Christmas Stars in their homes this Christmas season. This should not be a formality but a shared expression of Faith and Unity.
- Colony Youth Organisations:
Craft adequate quality Stars, make them available at affordable rates, well ahead of time. Assist anyone who needs help in putting them up, in the spirit of Christmas.
- Cheerful Donors and Well-Wishers:
Purchase Stars in bulk and gift them to families who may not be able to afford them. Let generosity light up homes that need it most.
This is a simple effort with immense symbolic power. We call upon every like-minded citizen to Speak Up, Act, and Help Revive this beautiful tradition.
This Christmas season let’s transform Kohima- and all of Nagaland—into a landscape of Beautiful Stars once again. Let Nagaland be for Christ.
