Anam Cara by Tiala Sangtam Neihu released

“Anam Cara”, the second book of Tiala Sangtam Neihu, which also marks the 99th publication of PenThrill was launched at Hotel Ura, Kohima on October 15.

In his speech, Special Guest Zakiebeituo Metha Pastor, Immanuel Baptist Church, Kohima acknowledged the writer’s journey as a working mother and a poet which can be challenging. Yet, according to Metha, the ability for the writer to manage to weave her experiences with creativity, commitment, hard work and passion has made the book alive.

“This book is not just a collection of words but testament and reflection of her faith, experiences and life’s journey. It is because she has that ability to capture life’s beauty, pain and complexity. Remember that every page and every line is an invitation for us to reflect feel and grow together in one’s faith,” he added.

Metha also noted that the book not just a collection of words but testament and reflection of the writer’s faith, experiences and life’s journey. “I hope this book connect, educate, inspire and uplift everyone who reads it. May it resonate with others to dream and embrace their own story,” said Metha.

Commending Tiala’s versatility and consistency as a writer, Vishü Rita Krocha, Publisher, PenThrill Publication House stated that besides being a poet, the writer has proved herself as a short story writer.

“We are at a time in the history of Naga literature where we are carving our own path and creating our own narratives, which is very crucial in determining the future of literature in the state,” stated Krocha.

Sharing from her decade long experience in publishing literary works from Nagaland, Krocha observed the potential of writers in literary craft which is not just limited to a particular genre.
