The All Nagaland Adhoc Teachers’ Group (ANATG), 2015 batch, has entered the 12th day of its indefinite protest following inconclusive talks with the state government over the regularization of 1,166 teachers.
Core committee member, Thungchanbemo Ezung informed that the agitation is being held daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. He said the group has submitted a representation to the Commissioner & Secretary through the Principal Director, reiterating their demand for regularization.
According to him, department officials have assured that discussions are ongoing with all stakeholders, and despite the prolonged delay, the group is hopeful of a positive outcome from the government.
Addressing the issue of missing documents, Ezung stated that they were also unable to go into every records because some of the documents which they are asking, even the department who are supposed to be the custodian of all these documents, unable to produce them.

He asserted that the teachers would continue their protest until their services are regularized and warned that the agitation would be intensified if the government fails to meet their demand.
